Our Story

It all started when Edward Ko (President) graduated from University of Colorado Springs with a degree in Spanish.  His choice was realistic since his family first immigrated to Paraguay in South America from Seoul, Korea in 1983.  Soon after his graduation, he started working for Sony Corporation  in the audio/video division in 1992. He then, ventured out to operate his own business and failed due to lack of experience as an entrepreneur.

He quickly moved on to becoming an outside sales representative and worked for Cowboy Brothers whom were professional beauty electronics distributor for selling such items as flat irons, curling irons, shears, and clippers. This was when he first came across many pro beauty brands such as Wahl, Oster, Hot Tools, Andis, Conair, and much more.

Edward Ko saw many opportunities in the beauty industry and from there, he moved onto becoming a salon representative for Wella Corporation. While he was working for Wella Corporation, he started putting together his dreams of having his own beauty distribution company.

In 1996, he started his own business out of his house while working full time for Wella Corporation.  His vision was a lot more than what he was in for, therefore, he joined the Salerm USA Corp. (professional products from Spain) as a manager for the Asian Market Territory.

After the three and a half years of having two full time jobs while operating his own business from his house, he made the decision to focus primarily on his own business, which is now Evergreen Team USA Inc. The meaning of “Evergreen” means it’s always green which interprets as it being always alive.  “Team” to work together as a team.  “USA” for providing service to USA and make it happen here in the states.  This interprets his philosophy onto the name Evergreen Team USA Inc.

To this day, although our company has a very strong and stable foundation, Edward Ko believes the “glass is half full.” Therefore, all the members of our “team” is lead by him to think like owners and put our efforts into each days work to “fill the glass” with the right product base and outstanding customer service.
